Born in Moscow, Russia and raised in New York, Jenny is a true jack of all trades. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Queens College with a BA in English Literature, and went on to graduate with a JD from St. John’s University. Jenny is a true student of the arts and humanities. A passionate creative writer of poetry and prose, she received a memorial award for creative writing from the Director of “King of Queens” at the age of 18.
Jenny is a classically trained pianist, an avid polyglot, a dancer, and a yogi.
Jenny has studied classical piano for over 23 years, and has been an instructor for over 13. She has performed in the US, Italy, Switzerland, and Greece as well as extensively all over New York City. She is always arranging compositions and organizing recitals and concerts for her many students, both children and adults, all over New York. She is currently enrolled in classes at the Juilliard School of Music.
Jenny has an extensive background in dance, and is well-versed in classical ballet, ballroom, tap, and everything else in between. In 2006, she was selected to perform as a ballet soloist at the annual Queens College Student Choreographer’s Showcase, returning in 2007 to perform a tap solo at the same showcase, studying under Marshall David Jr.
Jenny frequently visits Broadway Dance Center, one of the most eminent dance studios in the world, to grow as a dancer, and has trained with classical ballet instructor Andrey Silantyev and tap instructor Justin Boccito, who was also Lady Gaga’s tap instructor. She has received ballroom dance training from Maksim Chmerekovskiy’s dance studio, one of the professional dancers on Dancing With The Stars.
A natural polyglot, Jenny spoke 6 languages by the age of 20. In 2013, she was selected to translate to the Swiss press in Geneva, Switzerland at the annual international car show, having showcased her ability to achieve a formal fluency in French and Italian. She also speaks Russian and Hebrew and is currently studying modern Greek.
Yoga came into Jenny’s life at the age of 18, when her mother suggested she accompany her to a yoga class. Her mother turned to yoga as a source of inspiration and comfort, and Jenny noticed the change right away.
Jenny completed her 200-hour teacher training with Sri Dharma Mittra in 2009. Since then, she has been teaching all over NYC and seeks to show her students that they can do more than they think they can, on or off the mat. She has taught yoga to all types of individuals including kids, couples, and corporations. There is a certain creativity in her classes, expressed through her didactic manner and passionate demonstrations. Jenny is constantly reminding her students that there is always room to grow, as long as you are kind to yourself and your practice.
Jenny currently lives in New York City.
